What is Aether Chronicles?

Aether Chronicles is a drop-in/drop-out high fantasy virtual reality roleplay welcoming players of all experience levels. Sessions run twice weekly (Mondays 9 PM EST, Thursdays 2 PM EST), with 24/7 Discord text-based roleplay available.

Core Requirements for Participation

Character Standards:

• Must be original creations (no existing characters)
• Approximately level 3 D&D power level
• Must be 18+ years old; avatars cannot appear childlike
• One class maximum with up to two magic affinities
• Requires VR headset to participate

Avatar Guidelines:

• Maximum height/length: 8 feet
• Medium quality or better by VRChat standards
• Must comply with Twitch Terms of Service
• No distortion effects, flashing lights, or full-screen shaders
• No avatar ripping permitted

Key Community Values

The community emphasizes collaborative storytelling where members "Share the Spotlight" and include others regardless of experience level. Players should distinguish between character knowledge and player knowledge (avoiding metagaming), respect personal boundaries, and maintain mature conduct.

Character bleed — allowing in-character emotions to affect out-of-character relationships — is actively discouraged through education and community support.

Enforcement Structure

Violations range from minor infractions (warnings, temporary removal) to major infractions (immediate removal, potential permanent bans). The moderation team investigates reports filed through Discord tickets and aims for lighter corrective actions before escalating consequences.
